Jishaku (the name is Japanese for "magnet") starts out simply – just place a magnetic hematite stone on the dimpled foam game board without dislodging the rest. But the more stones you place on the board, the trickier it gets as the magnets repel and attract in surprising ways. One wrong move and you'll get "stoned" – as the magnets' attraction pulls them clicking and clattering into a clump of defeat.

Fast-paced entertainment for one to three players. Includes 18 beautifully polished hematite stone magnets, a dimpled foam game base and storage pouch for game pieces. Instructions include multiple ways to play.

This game has become a favorite as much for its simplicity as for its challenging strategies. People of all ages find this game engaging in both the 2 and 3 player formats. My favorite playing experience was at a conference. The wait staff had finished their preparations for the buffet lunch but the main session ran late. I pulled out Jishaku, invited a couple to play and within 3 minutes the entire crew was laughing, cheering and teasing each other as they played their way through an impromptu tournament.

Great games incorporate strategy and chance. Jishaku has both. Carefully ease the magnet to the playing surface, watching carefully for polarity pushes and pulls from neighboring magnets. Successfully placing a magnet may or may not end up working as magnets shift, repel and attract each other. The sudden "snap" of 2 or more magnets coming together signals a set back for the current player and perhaps a golden opportunity for opponents. 2 players often finish a round in under 5 minutes. Add a couple more minutes for a 3 person match.

I can't tell you how much fun my family has had playing this game!!!! I've bought multiple sets, as we all try to beat each other. You will not be disappointed in this game at all. Do your family a favor and buy this game now!!!!
